Hey! My name is Shakeel Riyaj
Ever since I discovered the thrill of engineering with my first Raspberry Pi, I've been driven by a passion for building systems that solve real-world problems. Now, as a mechanical engineering student with a strong foundation in computer science, I'm focused on the innovation of software engineering, creating solutions that push the boundaries of this exciting field.
From an early age, I was fascinated by the inner workings of devices—disassembling and reassembling gadgets around the house, always eager to understand how things functioned. This curiosity grew into a love for coding, automation, and developing algorithms that power innovative technologies.
My journey took off during my involvement with the UCI Rocket Project, where I contributed to creating systems that monitor rocket performance. Today, I continue working on complex projects like machine learning stock predictors and high frequency trading, leveraging my skills to create impactful solutions.
I'm also the founder of Quant@UCI, where I help students explore quantitative finance and trading, providing them with a platform to learn and experiment. Whether it's in the classroom or in the lab, I am always striving to innovate, teach, and lead the next generation of tech enthusiasts.
